Gunfire Recording - 11:00am on November 11th 1918

An original recording over 100 years old taken just before the ceasefire and the end of WWI.

Violent gunfire and explosions are heard in the minutes up to 11:00am followed by silence and the sound of birdsong.

Recorded near River Moselle which flows through France and Germany.

The welcome silence was a massive relief to millions of people.
